Roofing Before & After in Miami, FL
Most roofing companies talk about craftsmanship. We’d rather show you. The photos below are real outcomes from roofs across Miami, from Kendall to Little Havana to Aventura, where it rains hard, the sun bakes hard, and a roof earns its keep every single day. You’ll see what we found, what we did, and what the homeowner got. The difference is the whole point.

Roof Repair: Storm-Lifted Flashing in Coral Gables
Before
AfterThe problem: a 1998 roof with original chimney flashing that had pulled away after years of Miami’s afternoon thunderstorms. Water was sneaking behind the stucco and staining the attic insulation. We removed the old flashing, replaced the underlayment along the chase, installed new step flashing with a proper counter-flashing seam, and resealed everything. The result: no more water, no more stains, and a repair that’ll outlast the shingles around it. Most flashing failures look small from the ground and cost a lot more if ignored for a season.
Roof Installation: Full Tear-Off in Westchester
Before
AfterThe problem: a three-bedroom Westchester home with original shingles from 1998 that were curling at the edges and shedding granules into the gutters every time it rained. We tore everything down to the decking, replaced two sheets of water-damaged plywood, put down new synthetic underlayment, and installed a full Owens Corning architectural system with new drip edge and intake vents. The result: a roof that looks better than the day the house was built and stays cooler under that Dade County sun. The homeowner told us the electric bill dropped the first month.
Roof Repair: Blown-Off Ridge Cap in Cutler Bay
Before
AfterThe problem: a weather event took off a section of ridge cap along the peak of a Cutler Bay home, exposing the ridge nail line. The homeowner called because they could see daylight from inside the attic. We replaced the missing cap shingles, checked every remaining cap for lift, and resealed the full ridge line with the manufacturer’s sealant. The result: a dry attic and a roof that won’t peel apart at the first sign of wind. Ridge cap takes the worst beating on any roof. When it goes, the clock is ticking on everything underneath.
Roof Installation: Flat Deck to TPO in Hialeah

The problem: a flat roof over a Hialeah addition that had blistered under fifteen years of Miami heat and was ponding water after every rain. Flat roofs here fail differently than pitched ones: they hold water, the water heats up, and the membrane breaks down from both sides. We stripped the old membrane, installed tapered insulation to fix the ponding, and put down a fully adhered white TPO system with new edge termination. The result: a flat roof that drains properly and reflects sun instead of absorbing it. On a flat roof in this climate, white TPO is one of the few choices that actually makes sense.
Roof Repair: Leaking Valley in Pinecrest

The problem: a Pinecrest home where the valley metal had rusted through where two roof planes meet, which is exactly where most water concentrates. The leak showed up as a brown spot on the bedroom ceiling about eight feet from the actual penetration. We pulled the shingles along the valley, replaced the metal with new W-valley stock, installed fresh underlayment underneath, and re-laid the shingles with a clean edge. The result: a valley that channels water into the gutter instead of the ceiling. Valleys carry more water per square inch than any other part of a roof. When they fail, they fail quietly for a while.
Roof Installation: Tile-to-Shingle Conversion in North Miami

The problem: an older barrel tile roof in North Miami with dozens of cracked tiles and sagging that suggested the decking underneath was done. Tile is beautiful, but once the underlayment fails, all that weight sits on wood that’s quietly rotting. We removed the tile, replaced the bad decking, re-sheeted with code-rated plywood, and installed a full CertainTeed shingle system with proper venting and new flashing throughout. The result: a roof that weighs a fraction of the old one and won’t crack when a branch falls. The homeowner lost the tile look but gained a roof that’ll handle another thirty years of Miami weather without a single cracked piece.
